

Have you ever had a “partner in crime?” You know, the friend who is always up for ordering pizza, or going out for ice cream…or maybe someone you know you can always count on to meet you for happy hour?

Well, for me, my husband is without a doubt the first person I turn to when I have an unexpected craving and have made up my mind that I am going to indulge! While I firmly believe my husband is my biggest supporter, I also have to BEG him to encourage me to be strong and not to give into my urges to cheat! But, am I subconsciously turning to my husband because I think he will be on board? That’s a completely different blog post altogether!

Sometimes I have to clear my head and remember that a cheat meal isn’t going to send my body completely out of wack…but when that cheat meal turns into a cheat week (or worse, a cheat month), it can be hard to get back on the wagon!

It can be really difficult for me to say no, I’ll have to pass on the popcorn and chocolate during a movie. However, I’ve really had to work to train my mind to think about exactly what is going to satisfy my cravings so I can come up with a Keto solution!! If you’ve seen some of our YouTube videos, then you know I’m not a believer in beating yourself up after a cheat meal. While this is a constant work in progress for me, I try to take a step back and remember, tomorrow is a new day!

I think it’s completely normal to have a moment (even if it is a full blown temper tantrum) where you feel sorry for yourself-so long as you have the tools to bring yourself out of that funk and/or pity party! One of the things I find helpful is to automatically think about the incredible treats that we can have on Keto!! Below is a list of some of my favorite go to snacks for nights when I’m feeling particularly snack-ish and I promise, these recipes won’t disappoint!
